Your very first guitar lesson
At your very first guitar lesson, your instructor will ask you a few questions to understand you better and comprehend the reasons behind your wish of playing the guitar. He/she will also ask you how much time you can dedicate to personal practice daily to give you the right amount of homework for the next lesson.
He/she will then show you how the fretboard works and how to read tablature or a musical score (depending upon the style you learn to play!)
After learning some basics with your instructor, you will be able to start playing some basic songs and scales/licks, under the supervision of your guitar teacher. (Again the exact style depends if you learn classical, jazz, rock or metal)
There is truly nothing to worry about as it is elementary, and you will surely succeed at this first task.
If you do not understand a point fully, please feel free to ask your instructor who will patiently re-explain.
